Harley
& Lily
I have a small boat on the St. Johns river in Florida. (If you

Florida, please visit The
MarshBunny Notes.) My best
friend and I both adopted puppies last year
and started taking them with us in the boat when they were
very young.

Harley is a small,
shaggy boy, but he thinks he's plenty big! Harley's
mom was a Chihuahua/Dachsund and his dad a Yorkie/Shitzu.
He was the runt of his litter, and the only one who
turned out with his shaggy good looks.
Harley loves Lily, who
is two months older than he is, and will follow her
almost anywhere except into the water. (Though last
summer she did entice him onto the raft in the pool!)
He thinks Lily is crazy to go in the water, and only
swims in an emergency - like falling out of the boat.

Lily is
a beautiful purebred Pembrook Welsh Corgie. Her
official name is Water Lily, and the name really
suits her. She is as beautiful as a flower and loves
to be in the water. She thinks she is the alpha dog,
and always takes the lead in the boat and on our
walks. She looks pretty and dainty, but she will
jump into swampwater, eat a dead frog or roll in
dead stinky stuff in a heartbeat!
